In the late 1970’s Meteor had taken a 15,000ft building on Hwy 20 in Madison as an assembley unit for our lighting products. However since this was not big enough for the main company then based on Long Island we sought a larger facility to house not only Meteor but also HH which was a well-known UK manufacturer of audio equipment built especially for the Music Industry run by Mike Harrison.
At that time Derek Underdown who ran the Hwy 20 unit, was charged with finding a suitable location and he came up with a large building on Old Madison Pike that needed considerable work.
