In Buildings

In Russia I noted that no one had any small buildings. Their command economy built plenty of massive plants but nothing for entrepreneurs, a class of citizen who was not encouraged, to say the least. So when I saw that a company making concrete sectional buildings had gone into Receivership I decided to buy it with the intention of taking the technology to Russia and to what I foresaw as a massive new market.

As you may read elsewhere, that never happened. However, as the then manager quit during the purchase period (over Christmas 1994), I decided to step in and run it myself.

Leofric Building Systems Ltd stayed in Ryton-on-Dunsmore until the Company moved to its current site in Mickleton in 2000.

Now as a result of Local Government Planning our site is one of only a few in the area where employment is encouraged and job and business retention is welcomed. To this ens we are planning to enhance the use of the site by building an enterprise Park. For details go to:

This is undoubtedly the biggest challenge that i have ever undertaken.
