In the late 1990’s I received a mailing from David’s Company, Cheltenham Computer Training, offering a course in web visibility, later to be known as Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). For some unknown reason the flyer came only days before the first course was scheduled. I called to find out if I was too late to join his first of two programmes. I wasn’t, and a few days later I was at his offices in Cheltenham ready to learn about the web and how to be found on it.
